WHAT'S INCLUDED

Our PNG cutouts reach around 115 MP (10500 × 11000 pixels) — among the highest available in professional cutout libraries. Earlier images in the catalog start at around 14 MP (2300 × 5800 pixels). Each tree's dimensions and file size appear on its product page.

Yes, in almost all cases. The name of each PNG product on our site matches the filename of the image, which typically includes the botanical species name followed by a code identifying the individual tree (e.g., Quercus robur L22). Our catalog currently contains 516 individual tree photographs.

To verify exactly which species are in a PNG pack, use the Preview All option on the pack page — it displays the filenames of every image included.

Our catalog currently includes elevation views only. We expand the collection regularly, and customer requests guide our priorities — if plan views matter for your work, let us know via the live chat.

Packs from the DWG #2 collection include scale figures and shrubs alongside the trees. Packs from the DWG #1 collection contain trees only.

Each pack in the DWG #1 collection contains a defined number of original CAD blocks:

  • DWG #1.1 — 12 blocks
  • DWG #1.2 — 12 blocks
  • DWG #1.3 (Small Trees) — 16 blocks
  • DWG #1.4 — 12 blocks
  • DWG #1.5 — 12 blocks
  • DWG #1 Full bundle — 64 blocks

Each pack in the DWG #2 collection contains progressively more blocks, with each pack fully included in the next:

  • Free pack — 10 blocks
  • DWG #2.1 — 47 blocks
  • DWG #2.2 — 82 blocks
  • DWG #2.3 — 182 blocks
  • DWG #2.4 — 304 blocks
  • Complete collection pack — 558 blocks

The two collections take different approaches:

DWG #1 collection — each original block is provided in 4 ready-made variations, with different line weights and fills. Pick the variation that suits your drawing and drop it in.

DWG #2 collection — each block uses layers with By Layer properties. Adjust the layer settings (color, line weight, visibility) and you switch the entire set of blocks between graphic styles at once — from full tonal rendering to clean outline.

THE TREES

Our trees are photographed across three broad climate zones. Each zone has equivalents in many parts of the world, so the species are likely to be familiar wherever you work:

  • Mediterranean — Southern Europe, California, central Chile, southern Australia, and the Cape region of South Africa.
  • Atlantic Europe — Northwestern Europe, the Pacific Northwest of North America (Oregon, Washington, British Columbia), parts of New Zealand, and southern Chile.
  • Central Europe — Continental Europe, large parts of the northeastern United States and southeastern Canada (New England, Ontario, Quebec), and temperate zones of China, Japan, and Korea.

The species name is the most reliable guide to what each tree is and where it fits. Every PNG image is named after its botanical species, and the Preview All option on each PNG pack page lets you see exactly which species are included.

Yes. We have dedicated seasonal collections for Spring, Autumn, and Winter — each available as a Full Collection bundle, or in smaller themed packs.

Browse the PNG Packages collection to see all seasonal packs.

Yes. Every individual tree in our PNG library can be bought separately — which means you can build your own custom selection, choosing exactly the species, sizes, and seasons your project needs. Automatic discounts apply at checkout: 10% off for 5 or more trees, 15% off for 10 or more. No code needed.

FORMATS & COMPATIBILITY

We offer two formats: PNG images and DWG vector files.

All our PNG trees are photographic cutouts: high-resolution images of real trees with a fully transparent background, ready to use without any further cutting or masking. They open in any image-editing software (Photoshop, GIMP, Affinity Photo, and similar) and are suited to post-production work — adding tree cutouts to rendered images, photomontages, and technical drawings such as sections and elevations. See 3.2 for notes on transparency and frame settings when inserting PNG images into CAD software.

Our DWG files are saved in AutoCAD 2013 format and are suited to architectural drawing — elevations, sections, and axonometric views. They open in AutoCAD, other Autodesk software, and other CAD platforms that support the DWG standard — including Vectorworks, Rhino, BricsCAD, ZWCAD, and GstarCAD. If you want to confirm compatibility before purchasing, the entry-level pack in the DWG #2 collection is offered free of charge; for DWG #1, contact us via the live chat and we can share a sample on request.

When a PNG image appears with a white or opaque background after being inserted into AutoCAD, the file itself is not at fault — AutoCAD does not display image transparency by default.

To enable transparency: select the image, type TRANSPARENCY in the command line, and set the value to ON (or 1).

AutoCAD displays a frame around inserted images by default. To hide it: type IMAGEFRAME and set the value to 0. The frame will no longer be visible on screen or in printed output.

If you are unsure whether our DWG files will open and work correctly in your CAD software, you can test them before purchasing. The entry-level pack in the DWG #2 collection is offered free of charge, and lets you confirm that the layer structure, line work, and block organization work as expected on your end. For DWG #1, contact us via the live chat and we can share a sample on request.

LICENSE & COMMERCIAL USE

Yes. The license applies to both our PNG cutouts and our DWG drawings, and covers professional use across the disciplines we serve — architects, landscape architects, illustrators, and 3D visualization artists, working solo, in studios, or in larger practices. Once you purchase the Files, you hold a perpetual license to use them in your work — visualizations, design, illustration, renderings, and similar projects — and you may modify them to fit the project. There is no restriction on the scale or commercial nature of what you produce.

Yes. You may incorporate the Files into the projects and deliverables you produce for your own clients — drawings, renders, presentations, and similar work. The resulting work is yours to deliver, in any quantity, to any client.

What you cannot do is hand over the Files themselves, in their original or modified form, as a separate asset for your client to keep and reuse outside the project. The license is yours, not theirs — if your client wants the Files for their own future projects, they need their own license.

Yes. Animation, film, video projects, and broadcast or streaming productions are covered by the same license as any other professional project. You may include the Files — modified as the project requires — in your finished video work, and distribute or broadcast that work without further fees to us.

As with any other project, what is licensed is the use of the Files inside the work, not the Files themselves as an extractable asset.

The Files can be used freely inside projects you create. You may use the Files inside any project you produce — a render, a 3D scene, an animation, a film, a game, an illustration. There is no limit on the commercial use, scale, or distribution of the project that contains them.

Our license does not allow our Files to be made into products themselves. You may not offer the Files themselves as a product, or include them as extractable assets in a product you sell — for example, a Unity asset pack, a 3D model library, a stock-asset bundle, or any product whose value consists, in substance, of the Files themselves.

If you are unsure whether your case fits, contact us via the live chat before purchasing.

One-time. The license you receive when you purchase the Files is perpetual — it does not expire, and there are no recurring fees, royalties, or renewal payments. Every project you produce with the Files is yours; we do not charge per-project or per-use.

Yes, within your team or company. If you purchased the license on behalf of your company or studio, your colleagues can use the Files in the company's projects. The same applies to individual purchases used within a small studio or team setting.

What our license does not allow is open redistribution — sharing the Files publicly online, posting them on file-sharing platforms, or otherwise putting them into circulation outside your professional context.

Public redistribution of the Files — sharing them, posting them, or making them available to third parties through any medium — is a breach of our license and an infringement of copyright law.

We actively monitor distribution channels and enforce our rights without prior warning, using DMCA takedown procedures, platform liability under Article 17 of the EU Copyright Directive, and civil proceedings where appropriate.

If you have any doubt about whether a specific use is permitted, contact us via the live chat before doing it.

BUYING & PAYMENT

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay), as well as PayPal and the most common digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay). Local payment methods such as Bancontact, iDEAL/Wero, and Multibanco are also available where applicable, depending on your region.

If your preferred payment method is not available in your country, contact us via the live chat before purchasing — we can sometimes arrange an alternative.

If your usual payment method doesn't work at checkout, most cases can be resolved. Let us know your country and what you've already tried via the live chat, and we'll see what alternatives we can offer.

The answer depends on which collection you are considering:

DWG #2 collection — the entry-level pack is offered free of charge, so you can evaluate the layer structure, scale figures, and file quality before purchasing a larger pack.

DWG #1 collection — samples are not offered as a standard download. If you would like to evaluate the files before purchasing, contact us via the live chat and we can share a sample on request.

PNG packs — every tree in our PNG packs is also available as an individual purchase, so you can buy one or more individual trees first to evaluate quality and detail before committing to a pack. See the individual trees library.

Yes. Discounts are applied automatically at checkout:

  • 10% off when you buy 5 or more individual PNG trees
  • 15% off when you buy 10 or more individual PNG trees

No code is needed — the discount appears automatically in your cart.

Yes. If you have already purchased individual PNG trees, you can upgrade to any pack that includes them — paying only the difference. The same applies to DWG packs.

Just contact us via the live chat — something like "I'm a previous customer, my email is... — do I qualify for an upgrade discount?" — and we'll check your orders and send you a discount code.

VAT & BUSINESS INVOICES

The VAT number field is on the cart page, just below the Checkout button. Look for the section Buying for a company in the EU? — enter your email and VAT number, then click Check VAT before proceeding to payment.

Yes, in two cases:

  • EU business with a valid VAT number — enter your VAT number on the cart page before checkout; our system verifies it automatically and removes the VAT from your order.
  • Outside the EU — no VAT is charged at checkout.

EU customers without a business VAT number are charged VAT.

Yes. We sell to professionals and companies worldwide. EU businesses can add their VAT number before checkout (see 6.1 above). Companies outside the EU can purchase normally — no EU VAT is charged on exports to non-EU territories.

If your accounting needs the invoice to carry your company name and details, see 6.5 below about reissuing invoices.

Yes. The automatic invoice generated by our system pulls the customer name from the account — which may not match the legal name your accounting needs. We can reissue the invoice with full company details (legal name, VAT number, address) at no cost.

Contact us via the live chat with your order number and the full company data you need on the invoice, and we'll reissue it.

Invoices are sent automatically by email immediately after purchase. If you don't see it:

  • Check your spam or junk folder — invoices sometimes land there.
  • Confirm the email address on the order is correct.

If you still can't find it, contact us via the live chat with your order number and we'll resend it.

DOWNLOADS & FILE ACCESS

As soon as your purchase is confirmed, you'll receive an email with a secure download link for each item in your order — just click and save the files to your computer.

We recommend keeping a local copy: download links are time-limited, and having the files on your own machine is the simplest way to access your library whenever you need it. If a link doesn't arrive (a quick check in your spam folder usually finds it), contact us via the live chat with your order number and we'll send it again.

Most download problems have a quick fix:

  • The package won't unzip or the download stops before finishing. A stable connection and a fresh browser session usually solve it — pause any other heavy downloads and try again.
  • You see an error message when clicking the link. Send us a screenshot via the live chat along with your order number or the email you used to purchase, and we'll send you a new link right away.
  • The download counter shows zero attempts left. No problem — contact us with your order number or the email you used to purchase, and we'll restore access for you.

For anything else, the live chat is the fastest way to reach us: send us your order number or the email you used to purchase, tell us what you're seeing, and we'll resolve it.

Yes. Contact us via the live chat (or email info@cutout-trees.com) with your order number or the email you used to purchase, and we'll send the files again.

REFUNDS

Yes, in specific cases. Digital files are delivered immediately and cannot be returned once downloaded, so all sales are final by default. We refund or replace your purchase in the situations listed below — typically problems with the file or the order, not a change of mind.

We refund or replace your purchase if the file is corrupted, the download fails, you received the wrong item, the order was charged incorrectly, or the product is materially different from its description.

Contact us within 14 days of purchase via the live chat or email info@cutout-trees.com — include your order number or the email you used to purchase.

This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5 business days. Your bank or card provider may then need additional time to post the refund — depending on the payment method, this can add a few extra days.

If more than 10 business days have passed since we confirmed your refund and you still don't see it, contact us via the live chat and we'll investigate.
